It really feels like the long dark winter is truly behind us now! There’s blue skies in Scotland this week (which, we probably don’t have to say, is a rare thing!) and we’re getting excited about the season ahead, with outdoor shoots and summer weddings on the horizon. Our passport service is also in full-flow, with everyone getting ready for their summer holidays, which are now only a few months away! We’re very proud of the work we produce here at The Courtyard Studio, and we hope you can see why. We really do love what we do, whether it’s new born shoots, weddings, corporate portraits or families. The best thing about our job is those unexpected moments that turn a good shoot into a truly memorable one. And this isn’t just down to us – our clients are fantastic people and we love seeing them come back to the Studio time and time again.
We do open the occasional Sunday for special bookings, which can sometimes be more convenient for our clients (often busy families!). This weekend, we had the Penman and Ross families in to capture some special portraits for the grandparents. The Ross family were quite a challenge with eight kids ranging from two-fifteen years old, but with a bit of hard work and plenty of rolling about on the floor, we managed to get some great photos of them all together, and shots with siblings too. We’re sure that Gran will love them!
